Billy Walker is no stranger to the stage or radio airwaves. For over 31 years, he traveled and sang with one of Gospel music’s most beloved family groups, The Walkers. In 2021, when his mother retired, Billy decided to stay in full-time ministry as a solo artist. Today, fans across Christian and Gospel music can experience the culmination of a year’s worth of prayer, planning, and production as Billy releases his first solo album, The Final Score.
Billy Walker has partnered with Godsey Media Management throughout this production and rebranding process. CEO Scott Godsey took the lead during the A&R phase to find great songs that lined up with the new direction of Billy’s ministry. Scott also produced the tracks with a select group of Nashville’s finest musicians. GMM President Paul Secord produced Billy’s vocals and directed the vocal arrangements. Together, the entire team at Godsey Media poured into a project that sits on the exciting edge of Southern Gospel and CCM, with beautiful shades of modern worship and even faith country. The Final Score is a testament to Billy’s roots, amazing craft, and where God leads him.
